Thank You for Your Interest & Welcome to Roustabout Australian Shepherds

Roustabout Aussies is a small family, hobby-kennel located southeast of Austin, Texas on 10 beautiful acres of native pasture, overflowing with wildflowers, cactus, and towering oak trees hunderds of years old. I am blessed, as I couldn't have imagined a more perfect setting for raising my family and enjoying all of God's creatures! It is truly, just another day in Paradise!!

Along with the Aussies, Roustabout is also home to myself; my wonderful husband Michael; my three beautiful children Garrett, Nicki, and Kaytlyn; 20 boer-percentage goats; 2 Hens (Henny & Penny); 1 Pug (Uncle Otis); 3 Dachshunds (Sparky, Raven, & Diva); 2 Cats (Twinkle & Periwinkle); 3 Dwarf Hamsters (Oreo, Snickers, & M&Ms); and 2 Cockatiels (Kissy & Diego)!

As responsible pet owners & breeders...we have spayed/neutered our cats and pug...as well as many of our current Aussies. While our most important reason for doing this is to improve the quality and the quantity of our pets' lives, we also do this to encourage other pet owners as well as our puppy buyers to spay and neuter their companion animals! Roustabout only produces one or occasionally two carefully planned Australian Shepherd litters each year. We have never bred for waiting lists or for the almightly dollar, but instead have only bred when we as a family feel we have the time, love, and commitment required to properly raise and train a new addition to our family. Our goal has always been to breed for gentically, structurally and mentally sound Aussies...great family companions, true to the ASCA Standard & Temperament.

All Roustabout puppies whether companions or competitors are sent to their new homes with full written guarantees, and all companion puppies are sold with limited registration papers (checked "not for breeding") and are required to be spayed/neutered at maturity. As breeders, we feel we are responsible for the entire life of our puppies;therefore, we will ALWAYS take back ANY Roustabout dog or puppy, at ANY age, for ANY reason, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

I am very proud of what I have accomplished with and for my dogs, and I hope to continue to learn and improve with each new year. I am also very proud to say all of my dogs, with the exception of my two wonderful bitches bred-by and co-owned with Sandy Cornwell of Fairoaks Australian Shepherds, are descendants from my original aussie, Harley...that's five generations of Kid-Tested and Mom-Approved Companions and Competitors here at Roustabout!

As for the future...I am excited to continue sharing my life-long dream and what has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life with my three beautiful children and up-and-coming Junior Handlers...Garrett(11), Nicholas(8), and Kaytlyn(6)! I am also looking forward to expanding my dog activities to include not only conformation, but also obedience, agility, and herding!
