Our Policies

• At Roustabout Aussies we only breed one or two litters per year, when we as a family determine we have the time to properly care for, socialize, and place a litter.
• We believe in quality not quantity, and we breed with versatility and the ASCA Standard in mind.
  
• Our puppies are born and raised in our home with kids, so they can become accustomed to day-to-day life in a busy family.
  
• All of our puppies receive early neurological stimulation exercises from day three until day sixteen, as outlined by Dr. Carmen Battaglia.
  
• Our puppies receive individual attention, as well as group play on a daily basis. Beginning at five weeks of age the puppies have supervised daily playtime outdoors, where they can run and explore to their hearts' content.
  
• We carefully screen our buyers to assure our puppies are properly matched to the lifestyle and personality of their new home. The happiness and well-being of our puppies is our number one concern!
  
• All of our puppies are wormed with Pyrantel (Strongid) at 3 and 6 weeks of age. They also receive their first vaccination (No Lepto) at 7 weeks of age, and their first Interceptor at 8 weeks of age.
  
  

• All of our puppies go to their new homes with a puppy packet, written contract, and individual data sheet.
  
• We recommend basic training for all of our puppies. We also encourage participation in dog sports, by offering rebates for titles!
  
• We CHOOSE to sell most of our puppies as loving companions or performance prospects to individual or family homes; however, we do occasionally sell show prospects to juniors or show homes.
  
• Our contracts guarantee against inherited genetic defects which make the puppy unsuitable for the intent for which it was purchased.
  
• We test all of our puppies for hereditary eye defects, before they go to their new homes.
  
• All companion puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts, and their papers are marked "Not for Breeding".
  
• We offer a $25 rebate upon receipt of proof your puppy has been spayed or neutered!
  
• All puppies are eligible to be registered with ASCA and AKC. Registration papers will be delivered to the buyer upon receipt, if they are not available at the time of pick-up.
  
• Roustabout Aussies will take ANY dog we have bred or owned back, at ANY time, ANY age, and for ANY reason; however, a refund will NOT be issued.
